net10 sim step by step data and mms settings on androids

LG G2 APN Settings Net10 Wireless

I just switched over my LG G2 from ATT to NET10 for the unlimited plan and a few gigs of 4g, also way cheaper and figured I'd put up the APN Settings for the process since NET10 website doesn't even have full instructions.

1. Hit All Settings button

2 Under Networks tab choose Tethering & Networks at very bottom

3. Choose "Mobile Networks"

4.Choose "Access Point Names"

5. Hit settings key, choose "New APN"

6. Settings are as Follows (if blank leave it as is):

Name: NET10

APN: tfdata

Proxy:

Port:

Username:

Password:

MMSC: http://mms-tf.net

MMS proxy: mms3.tracfone.com

MMS port: 80

MCC: 310

MNC: 410

Authentication type:

APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri,fota

7. Hit settings key choose Save

8. Now choose Net10

9. Restart phone and your all set!

Can only make Emergency Calls Net10

This happens a lot. You need to update your APN settings then restart your phone. If all else fails, you will have to call customer service and have them to push your phone thru the switch.

Net10 Samsung, LG, Motorola, Nextus, APN General Settings and DATA Settings

Wow it took me a long time to find the APN settings on Net10's site. You have to go to Home>GSM Phone Programming>and then choose the tap "If your carrier is AT&T"
Phone Programming | NET10

These are what I saw: (I am assuming you are Net10 on AT&T's sim card/tower. If you are using Net10 on Tmobile sim card/towers then the APN settings ARE NOT these, but on the above line they would be listed under the tab "If you carrier is T Mobile"

FIELD SETTINGS
NAME net10
APN tfdata
MMSC http://mms-tf.net
MMS PROXY mms3.tracfone.com
MMS PORT 80

Enter these, save, and then delete any other APN setting that might be there. Turn off and restart your phone.
You can also try the nuclear option -- factory reset from the phone settings menu -- not a big deal and takes only about 10 minutes, but make sure you don't have any data you need on your phone and that you have access to wifi. Then re-enter the APN settings

I have found these to work just fine: Please feel free to comment for other viewers.

Got it to work! Deleted all the APN settings I had, turned my phone off and on, and used these settings: Works for Samsung Note 2 and 3

mms on an at&t samsung skyrocket sghi727 running android 4.0.4 Net10

Problem resolved with NO help from Net10 customer service. The resolution came from various forums out on the net. I thought I would pass along what I learned. Here is what works for both internet and mms on an at&t samsung skyrocket sghi727 running android 4.0.4 in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area.

Created new apn as follows:

Name - net10
apn - wap.tracfone
proxy - not set
port - 80
user name - not set
password - not set
server - not set
mmsc - http://mmsc.cingular.com
mms proxy - 66.209.11.32
mms port - 80
mcc - 310
mnc -410
auth type - not set
apn type - internet + mms
apn protocol - ipv4

Make sure you select this apn. You might not be able to delete the original at&t apn. I wasn't. Didn't seem to matter. I also didn't need to restart my phone for the 4G symbol to show up to the left of the signal strength bars. Once I saved the new apn and selected it, the 4G symbol appeard within 15 seconds. I hope this saves somebody a lot to time and headaches. Pass it along!

For what it is worth, I've been using net10 since 2008. I started out with a basic cell and worked my way up through the lg45c to this skyrocket a buddy of mine gave me when he upgraded to the siii. I have found net10 cellular and data service to be very reliable once the phone/sim is properly programmed and activated. The time spent dealing with customer service during this initial configuration can be a real headache... this time in particular. But, once established the service is reliable. DONT FORGET TO RENEW YOUR SERVICE OR SET UP AUTO RENEW. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR PHONE NUMBER FOREVER! Been there, done that, got a t-shirt. Wish I hadn't been so lazy.

Good luck.

mms isn't guaranteed to work apn mms settings getting them to work.

It may not be anything you have done, on the net10 website it says "mms isn't guaranteed to work" if that is the case you might just have some bad luck and nothing will work. You can try deleting the apn settings for both mms and internet, after you have done that power off the phone wait a few seconds then turn it back on. Once its back on enter the apn setting again for mms and internet once you have entered, saved and double checked the settings turn the phone off again, wait about 60 seconds this time before turning it back on. Once its back on test the internet and test the mms by sending yourself a picture. Make sure you have a pretty good signal because i couldn't send pictures when i was running edge "E" with one bar. Let me know if that works for you. My phone isn't unlocked btw. Please view are other post and see the APN settings and MMS settings.

You can also reset your phone to the factory default settings and start over. I have found that this works sometimes. Good luck and please post for others..

Nokia Lumia 920 APN Data Settings Net 10 Wireless

Here are the settings for a Nokia Lumia 920 on the Net 10 Network.

Go to Settings > cellular
Tap edit internet apn and under APN type tfdata and leave everything else blank and Save
Tap edit mms apn and type in this info
APN: tfdata
WAP gateway (URL): mms3.tracfone.com
WAP gateway port: 80
MMSC (URL): http://mms-tf.net/
MMSC port: 80
Leave everything else blank and Save
Now restart your phone, verify these settings and give it a couple of minutes, and everything should work just fine.
One of the features you don't get is visual voicemail, but fortunately there is an app for that... I downloaded Magik Mail and it's very good.
Other than that, everything works fine.
Good luck!

Notes: Based on setting up these two phones recently, I believe it's most likely that the initial phone provisioning is best done using one of the proxy setups, and that having a strong signal helps. Once the phone is activated and fully functioning, it's usually possible to switch away from the proxy servers that seem to give a lot of people trouble, based on what I see in the NET10 forums.

It is not required to unlock an AT&T based phone to use a NET10 (or Straight Talk) AT&T network SIM, although unlocking the phone will allow its use on other GSM networks, as long as the network supports 1900mhz for 3G/4G data.

I encourage NET10 users to post their settings that work, and the phone model. NET10 customer service is usually not known for being terribly knowledgeable or responsive on the phone - from my short experience making a post on the NET10 forums usually gets a response from a more senior CSR fairly quickly.
